Product Description

Zapp for Designers is an internal training site for designers of the Zapp platform, suited for onboarding and for advanced use.

Designers of the Zapp platform around the globe are introduced to a knowledge base of iOS and Android Zapp UI elements, types of white label screens, plugins, UI components, cell style design guidelines as well as keys and measurements.

Responsibilities

Documentation was lacking in early stages of the product, and designers who had to design apps using the product, didn’t know the exact specs and behaviors which were defined in the code without proper documentation. I gathered the information from the iOS and Android developers, structured it according to the design process, wrote it and defined the examples needed.
Developed learning objectives, outline and finalized the training material for the site.
Directed designer for packaging.
Managed the outsourced development.

Achievements

Decreased operation time of app design dramatically. Laid the base for further code documentation.

Packaging the content

Introducing new designers to the platform was a challenge because documentation was lacking. The packaging of the content had to be desirable, accessible and usable. I directed the messaging and the design of the site, as well as the copywriting.

Designing a Zapp app in 5 steps

The site was structured to support the work-flow a designer faced while designing a project. Designing for Zapp included 5 steps: Components, Cell Style, White Label Screens, Assets and Style Guides. I've defined the outline of the knowledge base and wrote the documentation per section.

Style Guide for designers

After collecting the information from iOS and Android developers, I've laid out the information in a UI that would be accessible for designers and project managers.
