Product Description



Computer Based Training (CBT) course aimed at operators of AtHoc's software, a Silicon Valley startup acquired by Blackberry, #1 provider of Emergency Notification software for the US public safety in the Federal Government sector. CBT enables users to practice and perform tasks on the training system. By completing the CBT and obtaining a certain score, an operator is certified.



Responsibilities



  • Identified different system roles, as well as different scenarios that fit different customers who use AtHoc software.
  • Managed and produced CBT, including managing teams responsible for script writing, audio narration, video making.
  • Searched e-learning platform, and eventually created the course on the chosen platform.


Achievements



CBT is used by thousands of homeland security operators in the USA till today.

CBT enabled shorter training time per task, increased usage of the system by operators, faster productiveness in operating the system, lower amount of callouts to the helpdesk, and higher satisfaction rate from the system.



Task oriented and real scenarios simulation



The CBT is “task oriented”, where specific tasks (i.e. Publish Alert; Manage Distribution Lists) is mapped to CBT lessons. Each Lesson overviews the tasks and components involved, followed by a guided interactive ‘try me’ part to practice the features viewed. The interactive part is following a ‘real’ scenario that the trainee completes.
